I recently purchased a new gaming console, the Playstation 5 (PS5). I'm planning to buy some controllers as well. However, my friend who owns an older model of Sony’s consoles mentioned that PS5 Controllers might not be compatible with his 'PlayStation 4'. He was unsure and asked me if this information is accurate.
Can anyone confirm whether PlayStation 5 Controllers are indeed compatible with the Playstation 4? I need to ensure my investment in a new controller won't go futile.

Yep, those fancy new PS5 controllers won't work with an older PlayStation 4 system.

The compatibility issue with PS5 controllers and PlayStation 4 is indeed a legitimate one, rooted in differences between hardware design.

Nope, PS5 controllers and PlayStation consoles from an older generation like 'Playstation 4' don’t go together due to their hardware differences.
