SOS only on iPhone: How to fix the issue and restore normal service?

Avery93
I'm having a major crisis here! My iPhone is being super finicky and I'm starting to panic. It's only happening when I'm in SOS mode, and I have no idea how to get it back up and running. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any tips or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to make an emergency call to a loved one, but my iPhone just won't cooperate. I've tried restarting it, checking for software updates, and even doing a force reboot, but nothing seems to be working. Please help! I'm counting on you to get me out of this digital ditch.

If your iPhone is only responding in SOS mode, it's likely a software issue. Try connecting your device to a computer and open iTunes (if you have an original iPhone model) or Finder (on newer models). Put your iPhone into recovery mode by pressing the Sleep/Wake button for at least 10 seconds and then immediately holding the Volume Down button while still holding the Sleep/Wake button. Release the Sleep/Wake button but keep holding the Volume Down until iTunes or Finder recognizes your device. If prompted, restore your iPhone to its factory settings and then update it to the latest software version. This will reset any corrupt software that might be causing the SOS issue.
