How to take a screenshot on an HP laptop efficiently?

I recently purchased a new HP laptop and I'm having trouble figuring out how to take a screenshot of my screen. I've been using the print screen button, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. Can anyone help me learn the most efficient way to capture screenshots on my HP laptop? I want to make sure I'm taking full advantage of this feature so I can quickly share images with friends and family, or export them for use in documents. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
